Updated 1.7.2011

The traveller deck insert was end grain balsa, long since deteriorated, and pretty much gone. With the deck skin cut away, the bed was cleaned and new balsa set in place. The new skin has been vacuum bagged down, and the surface has recieved it's second fill of fairing compound.

The transom's top skin, two layers or 8oz cloth peeled away with little effort. The new skin is in place, and the first coat of fairing compound is on. The cracks at each side corner of the cockpit were ground back, and two layers of 1708 E glass now bond the repair. The second fill of fairing compound is one, ready for (what is hoped to be) final shaping.

The hull's core has been replaced, the loose hull pieces aligned and temporarily screwed secure to maintain hull form. The new skin has been vacuum bagged in place, with the first and second fills of fairing compound applied.

The deck has been glued down.

Interior grinding has begun.
